A background paper from The Commonwealth Fund - Nuffield Trust's conference, "Improving Quality of Health Care in the United States and United Kingdom: Strategies for Change and Action, 2003" which took place in July in Bagshot, England. Senior policymakers and leading experts from the UK and the US heard Lansky speak on patient engagement and decision making.
