Abstract:
This report compares distributions for 2005 with those obtained in 2004. This report finds few variations between 2005 and 2004. While the proportion of women increased in some areas, they fell in others. Changes were both small and offsetting, albeit with two offsetting trends of some significance: in 2005 women constituted a smaller number of chief executives, especially in the smaller cities; throughout the system, irrespective of city size, they registered small gains in all positions other than chief executive.
