Abstract:
The issue is raised as to whether the relationship found to exist between social class and various Protestant denominations will also be found for Jewish denominations. A study of the income levels of the areas within the metropolitan New York area in which new synagogues were constructed was made in order to assess the social class changes among the three Jewish denominations.
