Abstract:
Key to the future success of Jewish Community Centers is the involvement of lay leaders who see themselves as owners of the Centers and who are enabled to perform most effectively in their roles by their professional counterparts. A new lay-professional relationship, taking into account the characteristics of today's lay leaders and built on faith, trust, confidence, and respect, is needed.
