Abstract:
CGR studied the need for an additional fire house in the North East Joint Fire District and recommended that a new station be built near the intersection of Schlegel and Phillips roads. The study recommended that a pumper and light rescue vehicle be housed at the new station, estimated to cost $2.3 million. CGR also studied renovation needs to the district's Station #1 and staffing needs throughout the fire district, including the possibility of hiring career firefighters in the future.
