Abstract:
The author explores the content, structure and scope of hate websites currently active, including sites promoting the hatred of (and sometimes violence toward) Blacks, Jews, Asians, abortion doctors and other groups. Sample texts and images from these sites are included. The author discusses the range of proposed policy solutions to combat these sites. He favors education and organization of anti-hate groups rather than censorship or technological solutions.
