Abstract:
This study explores mortality patterns of the Jews of Rhode Island during 1979-1981 and compares them to those for the State's entire white population in 1980, and, on a limited basis, to patterns of Jewish mortality identified for 1962-1964. Some attention is also given to differentials within the Jewish group, especially as they are related to place of birth and socioeconomic status.
