Abstract:
In recent years, there has been an influx of American Jewish people engaging in public service. Furthermore, there has been a lot of publicity surrounding those Jews who have chosen to become involved in public issues. The author argues that American Jewish communities have advanced in a way unlike the rest of the world. Lastly, the article examines potential causes of the rift in progression between American Jewish communal organizations and those in Europe.
