In recent years, there has been an influx of American Jewish people engaging in public service. Furthermore, there has been a lot of publicity surrounding those Jews who have chosen to become involved in public issues. Lastly, the article examines potential causes of the rift in progression between American Jewish communal organizations and those in Europe.
