Abstract:
The author critiques the mainstream method of leadership training and suggests an alternate method he calls the "identity-approach." He argues that traditional methods focus on providing leadership tools, but impactful training must also focus on the goals of leadership and creation of an "educational identity." Educational identity is defined as a commitment that embodies beliefs and values concerning the aims and the process of education against the background of basic convictions about what is right and good for the individual and the society.
