The author describes the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities' recent week long campaign, an event meant to educate and energize the community about the needs and suffering of Jews abroad. Under the slogan "Great Emergencies Require Unusual Methods" the campaign raised $54,000 and signed up ninety new annual subscribers.
