Abstract:
The author describes the pervasive influence of film and television in the modern world, and summarizes a number of contemporary portrayals of Jews and Israel in film and television. He further argues that despite the success of individual Jews in the media, the organized institutional Jewish community does not have a sufficient presence in the film and television world to communicate its message effectively.
