The Jewish Education Service of North America (JESNA) presents a guide of best practices for community recognition ceremonies for teachers, regarding both day schools and congregational schools. These ideas are drawn from experiences of communities around the United States and Canada. The authors hope to promote the creation of these ceremonies, disseminate ideas for renewing or revamping these ceremonies where they exist, and encourage community-wide enthusiasm for these ceremonies.
