The speaker responds to the first Annual Assessment produced by the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute. His address emphasizes issues such as the war on terrorism; poverty as a phenomenon becoming a global problem for the Jewish people; the importance of Hebrew in general and of the domain of the language by Jewish Diaspora leaders; and the importance of adult education. He also calls upon Jewish communities to reach out and build coalitions with Christians and moderate Muslims.
