Abstract:
In light of Joe Lieberman's consistently pro-choice voting record, the author was contacted by a reporter to specify whether or not being pro-choice is contradictory to Jewish Law. The author explained that while Jewish values respect the gift of life, they also respect the mother's life, and that the Jewish "view" on the issue is dependent on circumstance.
