Abstract:
The third issue of the PROMETHEUS Payment® project’s quarterly newsletter provides brief updates on the program’s latest work to ignite a transformation in health care payment and the way providers and insurers conduct business. Currently being tested in real communities across America, the project seeks to reward high-quality, consumer-driven care and allows providers who do the right things for patients to also do well financially.
This issue highlights news and views from PROMETHEUS, including an update from a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation briefing on payment reform in Washington, D.C.; the completion of a three-paper series explaining the fundamental aspects of the program’s model; and the Maine Health Management Coalition’s “aha!” moment during the PROMETHEUS analytics process.
