Abstract:
This report investigates the present and potential future role of the staffing industry in assisting "hard-to-employ" populations move out of poverty by securing permanent jobs that pay decent wages, have a career ladder, and offer critical benefits. In addition to examining the industry overall, the report gives special attention to alternative staffing agencies, organizations whose mission it is to move people out of poverty through temporary employment strategies.
