Abstract:
This qualitative study examines how young people in Sub-Saharan Africa view sexual and reproductive health issues, such as abstinence, condom use and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and what they think about sources of sexual and reproductive health information and services. The data come from 55 focus group discussions (FGDs) conducted in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda in 2003. Focus groups included in- and out-of-school youth aged 14 yo 19 who lived in rural and urban areas.
