Abstract:
Most states reported tax revenue gains for the second quarter of 2010, compared to the year-ago period. Revenue growth totaled 2.3 percent, the second consecutive quarter of overall gains driven by legislated tax increases. Early data for later months suggest a fiscal recovery for states is underway — though it's not likely to come quickly.
