Abstract:

This report describes the Jewish population on Long Island, with a focus on households with children. Long Island is home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the United States, and more than one third of these Jewish households have a child under age 18. Significant differences exist, however, between the two counties of suburban Long Island. Data in this report are drawn from the "Jewish Community Study: 2002" as well as additional, previously unpublished data.
