The director of education at a Jewish day school dealing with problems of teacher retention shares the process his education committee undertook in considering and ultimately deciding to extend benefits packages to all full time teachers. He reflects on the challenges in persuading the committee to make this investment and suggests strategies and discussion questions for addressing concerns related to benefits and educator retention.
