Abstract:

Why should a Jewish educator be concerned with the seemingly esoteric field of art? How can one justify adding art as both an activity and a subject matter to an already over-crowded curriculum? In this article I will try to answer these questions generalizing from my own experience as coordinator of museum education at the HUC Skirball Museum.
