Abstract:

This document addresses questions which may be asked by students, parents, teachers and school administrators about issues relating to religion in the public schools. The authors state each question and provide a short answer, an example, and a more in-depth answer to the question, including the legal grounding for the answer. (This primer's treatment of the issue deals only with legal permissability within the United States.)
