The author presents an excerpt from the afterword of "They Called Me Mayer July: Painted Memories of a Jewish Childhood in Poland Before the Holocaust". The book, which the author wrote with her father, Mayer Kirshenblatt, chronicles his pre-war memories as gathered by interviews with the author.
