In Jewish Population Studies 25 (Papers in Jewish Demography, 1989), 66-75. This paper analyzes some methodological issues involved in studying the regional and urban shifts of American Jewry. Some basic themes concerning regional and intercity mobility are discussed so are the policy implications of regional and urban shifts.
