Abstract:
We need to broaden our focus and look beyond why people intermarry to consider what happens to the children of intermarriage, because they are the vessels in which Jewish identity will or will not be perpetuated. How connected and involved are they in Jewish individual and communal life? To what extent do Jewish education, home life and social networks impact on their Jewish identities as adults?
