Abstract:
This study examines the issues of professional development: importance for Jewish community organizations; steady and adequate supply of individuals committed to Jewish community work; recruitment and retention; "preservice" training for Jewish educators and communal professionals; incentives and disincentives for engaging in such career path; and provisions for "in-service" continuing education.
