Abstract:
In Contemporary Jewry 6/2, 34-42. This paper describes characteristics of Jewish families in downtown Toronto, discusses strategies of Jewish socialization they have developed and draw some conclusions about the kind of identity that may be emerging among them. The description is based upon 44 interviews conducted in 1977-78 supplemented by personal observation.
