Abstract:
Are American and Israeli Jews drifting apart? Unfortunately, the answer is neither obvious nor straightforward. Some evidence suggests that they are more separate than before, some that they are not; other considerations suggest that serious differences have been in the making for a long time and are only now beginning to be felt. The purpose of this essay is to peer into the future, to examine the status of Israeli-American Jewish relations 30 years hence.
