Abstract:
In: Modern Judaism 4/3, 295-309. This paper focuses on the ideology and communal theology of those who, in the next generation, will assume leadership positions in the community on both the local and a national basis. It analyzes and compares their communal agenda with that of the preceding generation of leaders. It is argued that the new generation has abandoned what has been described as the "assimilationist" agenda and adopted a "survivalist" one.
