Abstract:

The author presents a thorough overview of the situation of Levantine Jewish immigrants and their communities in the United States, covering such aspects as religious education, status of the sexes, social conditions, and so on. He proceeds to offer a series of suggestions as to how the more established Jewish community can proffer aid and cooperation in a dignified and effective way, beginning with a more detailed survey of conditions.
