Abstract:
The author describes The Federation of Jewish Charities in Louisville, distinctive for being not only fiscally but also socially federated, with its fifteen component agencies coordinated into one organic unit under a single board of directors, and recommends this format as being more organized and efficient than more loosely centralized fiscally oriented federations.
