Abstract:
Many Jewish communities are federating their services in order to centralize their financial and social efforts and activities and thus better serve the community. While every community must engage in this process according to its own individual situation, the author recounts the story of the creation of the New Orleans Federation of Jewish Charities so that it can serve as a model and inspiration.
