Changing conditions within American society and the Jewish community have made the field of community relations central mission—advocacy for the security of the Jew — more difficult today than in the past. Therefore, it is of critical importance that the community relations professional draw effectively on the specialized body of knowledge, experience, and skills relevant to the performance of that mission.
