Abstract:
In Montreal, the federation views Israel programs as an important piece of its community-building effort and Jewish educational agenda. The programs are now included in the operating budget of its Jewish Educational Council and are administered by a full-time staff member. This formalization of structure is similar to what Sheldon Schreter envisions as an Israel Program Department.
