Abstract:
Most Jewish emigres from the former Soviet Union experience significant losses that can greatly affect their ability to make a successful adjustment to their new country. Losses experienced in emigration can be categorized as environmental, those dealing with the changes around the individual, and internal, those dealing with the individual's sychological response to that which has been left behind.
