Abstract:
Today, many Jews are traveling along different spiritual paths in a search for meaning, purpose, and certainty. A survey of over 3,000 affiliated Jews in the Los Angeles area found that many Jews are conducting that search outside the organized Jewish community. Creating supportive, close-knit communities, developing role models, and devising creative outreach programs can reach these marginally involved Jews.
