Abstract:

Should the Jewish Community Centers in North America adopt an explicit "Jewish philosophy?" To what extent are elements of a JCC Jewish philosophy already in place? What would be its implications? What would it look like? This document aims to encourage JCC leaders to intensify their discussions of these and related questions. This paper calls for a concerted discussion of ICC philosophy by the most senior volunteer and professional JCC leaders.
