Abstract:
In 2001 the United Way conducted an Hispanic Community Assessment: Assets and Opportunities. As part of the project, CGR was asked to analyze selected Census trend data for Monroe County’s Hispanic/Latino population. Characteristics of the Hispanic population living in Monroe County were analyzed using decennial Census data for the years 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000. In addition CGR developed a community profile of measures within three impact areas: Success by Six, Kids on Track, and Strengthening Families.
