Evaluates Washington's 1998 minimum wage initiative and draws historical parallels to minimum wage purchasing power in past decades. Examines arguments both for and against raising the minimum wage, utilizing available economic data to assess the employment and inflationary impacts of the increasing minimum wage, and assess the minimum wage in the context of Washington’s agricultural economy.
