Abstract:
Patenting human genes is a "massive social experiment," Robert Cook-Deegan declared early in a July 10, 2007 seminar on DNA patenting. The diversity of views at that event indicate there's no consensus on how that experiment will turn out, or on whether it should be conducted at all.
