Abstract:
The record of the 42nd U.N. General Assembly is clear; despite progress on such isolated issues as Afghanistan and U.S. bashing, the United Nations largely abandoned its internal reform process and continued to be extremely hostile to a broad spectrum of American interests and values. As a result, the Congress should not release already authorized funds to the United Nations, and should seriously consider severe reductions in funding for Fiscal Year 1989.
