Abstract:
Today, the most effective aid that the U.S. and the world can give Africa is help to rebuild, reinstitute, and modernize Africa’s indigenous institutions of political and economic freedom. If Western nations truly wish to eliminate the poverty and misery that is the lot of most Africans today, they must insist that Africa’s leaders begin pursuing policies to restore Africa’s traditional economic and political freedoms.
