Abstract:

Last year, U.S. contributions to the U.N. system totalled about $1 billion. Since the U.N.'s founding in 1945, it has received at least $14 billion from American taxpayers. Despite this enormous outlay, surprisingly little attention has been paid to how the money is spent.
