Abstract:
The transition into high school is a time when students move from often smaller and more supportive middle schools to larger high schools, where the academic and social demands are higher.
Drawing on findings from evaluations of Project Transition and Talent Development by MDRC, this issue brief, published by the National High School Center, suggests that transitions into high school can be eased when both structural and specialized curricula reforms are in place.
