Abstract:
In this article, Jay Mathews reviews the February 24, 2008 publication of the memoir of Chester E. Finn Jr., head of Hoover’s Koret Task Force on K–12 Education, titled Troublemaker: A Personal History of School Reform since Sputnik. Mathews admits at the start of the article that he likes Finn, claiming that to an education reporter, "Finn is a godsend—the most quotable man in his field. But that also means he is funny, irreverent, and often as irritating as he can be. "
