Abstract:
There are signs of serious erosion in such standard measures of religious vitality as church attendance and religious affiliation. Religious practice is especially influenced by marrying, settling down, having children, and raising them. Since individuals who marry are more likely to attend religious services regularly, the postponement of marriage and childbearing has contributed to the decline in church attendance.
