Abstract:
It is anti-Americanism as an ideology that drives Fidel Castro--not Marxism-Leninism or some triumph for the revolution. The U.S. must stand ready to help the Cuban people to make a transition to freedom--not just elections, but everything that freedom can bring. We stand ready to welcome them into the community of democracies.
