Abstract:
Most Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) programs, including the 21 Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program, expired at the end of FY2000. This program was reauthorized by H.R. 1, the No Child Left Behind Act, a bill to extend and revise the ESEA. On December 13 and 18, 2001, respectively, the House and Senate adopted the conference version of H.R. 1. The President signed H.R. 1 into law (P.L. 107-110) on January 8, 2002. This report summarizes the major provisions of the reauthorized 21st CCLC program.
