Abstract:
The conference agreement of the fiscal year 2006 federal budget (also called the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005) includes changes to the child support program. This short publication offers a clear description of the ActÂ’s specific changes to the financing of the child support program and how it works. The House is expected to vote on the Act on February 1, 2006.
