Abstract:
This rationale presents research on babies’ and toddlers’ cultural identity and language skills as part of healthy development and how a diverse and culturally competent child care workforce can support children’s development. As part of the Charting Progress for Babies in Child Care project, this rationale supports the Policy Framework’s Recommendation #5: Recruit, maintain, and support diverse infant and toddler providers and caregivers.
